Our Physicians and Surgeons

Dr. Haley Augustine

Dr. Haley Augustine is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon and member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She completed her training at McMaster University in Hamilton and a fellowship in hand and peripheral nerve surgery at Toronto Western Hospital. She combines her therapeutic expertise with her surgical skills to provide comprehensive patient care and has received multiple awards for her research, teaching, and academic excellence. Dr. Augustine specializes in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including breast surgery, body and facial contouring, skin cancers, and wounds, with a particular interest in hand and peripheral nerve surgery.

Dr. Kaitlin Dupuis

Dr. Kaitlin Dupuis received her medical degree from McMaster University. She completed her residency in family medicine at the University of British Columbia and has worked in family practice, low-risk obstetrics, and emergency medicine. More recently, she served as a physician at a clinic in downtown Toronto, where she provided primary and contraceptive care to adolescents.

Dr. Dupuis is a surgical assistant in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Humber River Hospital. She is certified in Advanced Injectables and offers a variety of medical and cosmetic injectable procedures as North Toronto Surgical’s Medical Aesthetics Lead.

Dr. Asem Saleh

Dr. Asem Saleh is a Vascular Surgeon at Humber River Hospital and an assistant lecturer at the University of Toronto. He completed his residency in Vascular Surgery at McMaster University and received advanced training in endovascular surgical techniques in Nuremberg, Germany.

He has extensive training and expertise in limb preservation and lower extremity revascularization using leading-edge techniques. He is also fluent in Arabic.

Dr. Luis Figueroa

Dr. Figueroa completed his Vascular Surgery residency at the University of Toronto and subsequently obtained his Royal College Fellowship in 2016. Since that time, he has been a lecturer at the University of Toronto and enjoys teaching and sharing his expertise with medical learners from around the world. He has been a member of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Humber River Hospital since 2016. 

Dr. Figueroa has a particular clinical interest in aortic surgery and new endovascular technologies for treating peripheral arterial and venous disease. He is also fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Kerry Graybiel

Dr. Kerry Graybiel received his medical degree from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine in Hamilton and fellowship training in Vascular Surgery from McMaster University. He is currently the Division Head of Vascular Surgery at Humber River Hospital and holds an academic appointment with the University of Toronto's Division of Vascular Surgery.


He specializes in treating a variety of vascular disorders and uses both conventional open-surgical and endovascular interventions.

Dr. Aaron Beder

Dr. Aaron Beder is a vascular surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He received his medical degree from the University of Toronto before completing a general surgery residency, going on to specialize in vascular surgery. He introduced endovascular repair for abdominal aortic aneurysms to Humber River Hospital in 2007 and has expertise in treating a wide variety of arterial and venous disorders.
Dr. Beder has a particular interest in treating varicose veins using minimally invasive techniques such as endovenous laser ablation.

Our Allied Health Professionals

Jennifer Liu

Registered Nurse

Jennifer Liu is a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Upon completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from the University of Toronto, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and graduated with distinction, from Toronto Metropolitan University. Jenn began her nursing career on the Orthopedic Surgery Unit at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. In addition, she has acquired an abundance of surgical and peri-operative experience at Humber River Hospital Outpatient Surgical Clinics. At North Toronto Surgical, Jenn strives to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. She assists the team with wound care, minor surgical procedures, and sclerotherapy, and is certified in cosmetic laser treatments, and medical compression stocking fitting. She is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Magnus Ojukwu

Physician Assistant

Magnus Ojukwu is a Certified Physician Assistant from the United States. He has a wide variety of healthcare experience from serving in the US Navy and Marines as a field medic to working as a licensed radiologic technologist. In the States, he attained a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from Emory University and then attended Mercer University’s PA program, attaining his Master of Medical Sciences degree to become board-certified in 2020. As a physician assistant, Magnus worked in the Vascular Surgery department of the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center, serving US military veterans. After immigrating to Canada, he has joined the North Toronto Surgical team to deliver state-of-the-art wound care and vascular medicine.

Claudia García-Peralta

Laser Technician

Claudia Garcia, originally from the vibrant metropolis of Mexico City, graduated from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico as a general practitioner. Her interests lie at the intersection of medicine and cutting-edge technology, particularly energy-based devices. Claudia's commitment to comprehending and harnessing the potential of these devices to enhance healthcare is unwavering. In addition to her certification in cosmetic laser treatments, she remains updated on the latest developments in skincare due to her strong enthusiasm for assisting individuals in attaining and preserving healthy, radiant skin.
